A Princess Pirate and Her Parrot!

Belen had a great time trick-or-treating.. although she just stared at the people and said nothing when they opened the door. Thyssen was over his costume in about five seconds. I made Thyssen's costume with my limited skills... but I loved Belen's costume! I have to give a little shout-out to Julie Presley for making it last year for her daughter.. she's sooooo talented! It's inspired me to want to take a sewing class... I really want to be the type of mom that hand makes her children all their costumes and mends their clothes.... Why does that seem like a far-off dream to me? Anyway, we had a successful night and we're doing it all over again on Saturday for our ward party. Wanna come? Happy Halloween!

We love your pirate theme...your kids are absolutely adorable! You did an awesome job on Thyssen's costume! Maybe...after you take sewing lessons...you can open a new line of clothes for infant/toddler boys! Happy Halloween!

CUUUTE!!!!! i love the parrot! It's all just so adorable.

I don't think that dream is that far off. It's not as hard as people make it out to be.

Thyssen is giving the best facial expression in the picture! He actually looks like a pirate! So cute - I can't wait to see them on Saturday!!

And I agree with ya, Julie is an amazing seamstress-Belen's costume was really cute! Oh, I just noticed what time it is. Oops! I can get really carried away with these fun blogs.Good night!

I have to let you all know that all I did for Thyssen's costume was hot glue on feathers, a beak, and two eyes... no sewing in volved at all.
